Job Summary:
º Maintains a human performance program that conforms to the requirements of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Institute for Nuclear Power Operations, and TVA NPG Senior Management.
º Serves as the technical expert, advisor, and consultant to the NPG for all elements of the human performance program. Also serves as the principal consultant on human performance program related issues.
º Establish human performance program fleet-wide best practices and development of NPG standardized policies, programs, and processes.
º Ensure human performance program elements are consistently implemented across the fleet and provide direct governance to resolve or escalate differences between sites.
º Strategically apply human performance data to identify gaps and formulate corrective actions to address areas of concern.
º Develop program enhancements through involvement with industry peers and benchmarking.
º Makes decisions independently on program elements and represents the NPG in public meetings and conferences.
º Preside as chairperson of the corrective action program peer team for the development of strategic initiatives designed to drive continued improvement and effectiveness of the NPG corrective action program. Manage corrective action program improvement initiatives, projects, and resource sharing opportunities.
º Substantiates the health of the human performance program through assessments, independent audits, and the use of performance indicators.
º This position requires the use of advanced techniques and modifications or extension of precedents to unique and complex problems.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
º A Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline from an accredited curriculum; or equivalent education, training, and experience.
º Ten or more years of technical experience in the nuclear industry or other industry where a formal corrective action program is used such as aerospace or the chemical industry. Formal root cause analysis training is highly desirable and such training shall be completed within two years of filling the position if not already trained.
º A senior reactor operator/shift technical advisor certification or license is desirable.
º Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be familiar with INPO and NEI guidance documents, industry standards, and NRC regulatory documents.
º Must be able to work with peer teams and senior management.
º Must be able and willing to travel to plant locations as required when performing assigned tasks.
º Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted plant access and S-3 and S-4 medical qualification when applicable.
