AREVA is seeking an Eddy Current Technician. This Field Service Representative position is an Entry Level through Level II Union position. This individual will:
  • Support Eddy Current testing and repair in the field.
  • Mechanical/Electrical experience and computer aptitude a plus.

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
  • Basic written/verbal skills; ability to effectively communicate with staff, management, vendors and customers.
  • Ability to comprehend instructions, policies, procedures and guidelines required to perform assigned tasks.
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds, bend, stoop, and remain standing for extended periods of time.
  • Required to work around radioactive and/or corrosive chemicals and to wear appropriate protective equipment.
  • Must be 19 years old for radiation exposure.
  • Must be able top pass a Drug Screen and Background check.
The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.
  • Must travel 90% of the time.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of commonly used equipment, practices and procedures helpful, but not required.
TRAVEL:
  • This is seasonal work that occurs in the spring and the fall annually.
  • Normally travel will be for 3 to 4 week intervals per job.
  • There are between 2-4 jobs per season depending on scheduled outages.
  • 90% of the work occurs away from office in a Nuclear environment where radiation is present.
  • Majority of the work is shift work consisting of 6 to 7 days a week, 12 hours a day.
