Business Unit Overview Exelon Nuclear operates the largest nuclear fleet in the nation and the third largest fleet in the world, which represents approximately 20 percent of the U.S. nuclear industry's power capacity.

New Jersey location: Forked River Job Description PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Provide professional advice and consultation to line management in assigned area(s) regarding employee relations, affirmative action/equal employment opportunity, workforce planning, employee dispute resolution program, total compensation, the Collective Bargaining Agreement(s), where applicable, and employee communication. Interpret Exelon policies. Support and facilitate attainment of business goals and objectives. Support activities that promote diversity awareness and high productivity. Maintain employee accessibility and address employee issues.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
-Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with all HR-related legal and corporate policies.
-Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
-Administers compensation program; monitors performance evaluation program and audits as necessary.
-Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students (including intern program, where applicable) and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations and exit interviews. Monitor staffing levels.
-Assist in the evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
-Advise line management in general employee relations matters, i.e. disciplinary action

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:
-4-year degree in Human Resources or related field and a minimum of 2 to 5 years of strong HR generalist experience in a matrixed organization.
-Proven demonstration of effective line management relations in a high performance culture with a strong sense of customer service, excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
-Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including knowledge of EEO, ADA and FMLA.
-Knowledge of business (Energy Services or Corporate-type background is helpful)
-Strong drive for results to ensure human resources alignment with the business unit and/or site.
-Proven management skills in coaching, performance management, and facilitating business competency.
-Demonstrated ability to deal directly with line management to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE ORGANIZATION
It is expected that you will live near your work location such that you can respond to an emergency call or drill within the times specified for positions to which you could be assigned in the Emergency Response Organization. The time specified is 50 minutes from declaration of such an emergency or drill. You may also be required to hold a rotating, on-call duty position in the Emergency Response Organization, where you are required to respond to pages from site and maintain fitness for duty, even on your regular days/hours off work, during your assigned duty week.
