New Jersey location: Forked River Job Description Exelon Nuclear is looking for an Instrument and Control Systems Technician for our Zion Nuclear Station in Zion, IL.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:
To measure and maintain the reliability and performance of nuclear station control systems and instruments; to repair and maintain special testing apparatus; and to perform related work as assigned.

1. To measure and maintain the reliability and performance of nuclear generating station control systems and instruments, involving such work as inspecting, testing, and diagnosing the operating condition of the various components and determining areas of deterioration or signs of possible malfunction; and to make or recommend adjustments, replacements of parts, repairs and modifications which will maintain or improve Instrument and control reliability and performance.
2. To repair and maintain special testing apparatus used such as function generators, oscilloscopes, pulse generators, and special electronic testing equipment.
3. As required, to locate and correct trouble and to perform maintenance work on station mechanical, electrical, and electronic control systems and apparatus.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:
1. Education equivalent to graduation from high school, supplemented by specialized training in power plant instrument operation and maintenance.
2. Usually, four years of experience in correcting trouble and performing maintenance work on station control systems and Instruments.
3. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret station diagrams, to understand manufacturers servicing procedures and maintenance and repair practices, to understand the design and theory of instrument and control components, and to understand in detail, the relationship of instrumentation and control systems to station operating equipment.
