General Information Reporting to Manager, Compliance, Energy Operations, the NERC Compliance Manager is accountable for leading a multi-disciplinary team of compliance staff charged with ensuring the operational excellence at all of TransCanada's operating assets located in North American. By providing a disciplined, rigorous and systematic focus on process execution, systems, and procedures, this position will ensure compliance with all NERC and security policies, rules and regulations.
This position is eligible for domestic relocation. This position is not eligible for cross border relocation.
Responsibilities - Maintain NERC Corporate Governance program and ensure implementation of governance program across the enterprise - Maintain regulatory compliance at all operating energy assets - Audit policy, process and procedure - Lead regulatory driven security requirements at all operating energy assets in collaboration with Corporate Security - Identify improvement opportunities based on incident investigations, root cause analysis, and industry best practice - Work collaboratively as a member of the Energy Operations leadership team and across departments to continuously improve the business - Represent TransCanada Energy Operations internally and externally to strengthen partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders, customers and clients. - Build and lead a strong, competent, proactive, and engaged NERC compliance team
Qualifications and Education - Technical Degree/Diploma (business, engineering, science) preferred Descriptions - 10-15 Years of Energy/Power Related Experience - FERC and NERC Regulatory Knowledge and Standards Knowledge - Knowledge of Information Systems, Cyber Security, and Physical Security - Minimum 2 Years Managerial/Team Leadership Experience
