Our Integrated Sensor Systems group within the Automation Devices department is looking for a Research Scientist (m/f) specialized in optical sensors. As a part of ABB Corporate Research, you will work in interdisciplinary, dynamic, and creative teams with engineers and physicists who share a wide range of experience and competence. Your tasks: research and develop novel optical sensors • integrate devices into industrial products • ascertain device reliability • create intellectual property • support technology transfer into ABB business units • interact with multidisciplinary R&D teams and business unit colleagues

The requirements: PhD in physics or electrical engineering • post-doc experience advantageous • thorough expertise in at least one of the following fields: optical sciences, optical fiber and waveguide technology, optical sensors, micro-mechanical sensors, opto-electronics • team player with intercultural competence
