The purpose of the role is to develop and support a commodity based supplier strategy focused on an aggressive cost take out program across multiple factories and regions. The role will be based in the incumbent's present location. Your tasks: Assess complete supply market and ABB demand side • create short and long term commodity strategies with input from factories • find, investigate and select new suppliers • consolidate supply base as necessary • create best global supply footprint • manage supply risk by eliminating single sources and quality risk through supplier selection and vendor development • bundle volumes and negotiate pricing with key suppliers • negotiate common terms and conditions • manage global contracts with key suppliers • manage and develop material supply strategies to maximize cost take out • manage spend through product group, product line and commodity team cooperation • apply and implement ABB SCM standards, tools and processes • implement, monitor and report progress against BU SCM targets • ensure and implement ABB standards on health & safety and business ethics • assess, develop and lead a team of professionals • set performance objectives, standards and accountability • develop talent within the business unit • foster change management to achieve SCM targets • apply and implements ABB SCM standards, tools and processes for business continuity in a multi-business organization • establish transparent communications internally, externally and between different units The requirements: University degree with strong technical knowledge • 10 years job experience in supply chain management preferably in a management position and in a multicultural environment • advanced level of successful leadership documented in coordinating and building interdisciplinary teams across factories and countries • demonstrated collaborative problem solving across discipline areas • good communication skills and execution • high level of intercultural sensitivity in a complex global organization • good knowledge of ABB business, policies, and global organization • high understanding and knowledge on ABB internal needs, such as purchased products, its cost structure and/or critical process requirements • working knowledge of PPHV products, main commodities and the critical materials • good knowledge of related supply markets including LCC supply markets • SCM experience supporting regional/multi-business organizations • superior negotiation skills in a highly challenging, intercultural business multi-business environment, • excellent spoken and written English Your contact: Serge Poupon, Recruiting Consultant We look forward to receiving your application (max. 1MB) via our online-form. | |
