JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products is seeking an Energy Leader to join our team at the Muskogee, OK facility. The Energy Leader will have the overall responsibility to lead and coordinate the development of energy utilization goals and execute associated action plans for the Muskogee Mill. The successful candidate will lead the work processes of a cross-functional facility Energy Team to support energy management activities and awareness at the site. This person will advocate the implementation of energy related projects, programs, processes and procedures and track their effectiveness.
 
EXPECTATIONS:

 

• Lead efforts of a cross functional facility Energy Team by setting direction and coordinating best practice knowledge sharing with other Energy System Owners across the Company


• Develop a Communication Plan that supports action plan implementation and communicate to all areas of the organization. Seek and encourage employee input into improved energy management. Communicate results and identify ways to recognize and celebrate successes


• Energy Data Analysis and Modeling: Gather, track and analyze data on energy use over time to understand trends and patterns, and to determine an energy baseline and priorities. Identify and document Key Performance


• Indicators (KPI) and Key Operating Variables (KOV) that drive energy KPI’s


• Establish Energy Reliability and Maintenance Guidelines that support good process and equipment energy practices


• Implement and execute specifically assigned energy efficiency projects and business plans across the mill


• Some business travel may be required

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience


• 5+ years of Energy Process Leader/Engineer experience in an industrial facility


• Certified Energy Manager a plus
 
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

 

• Clear understanding of and work experience with energy management systems and heat/mass balance programs


• Leadership ability to direct/influence projects and work in a team environment with a cooperative work style


• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal


• Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Project
