Position Summary Normally, without supervision, performs and is responsible for a high degree of skill in various types of troubleshooting, monitoring, repairs and maintenance activities as it relates to the safe, reliable and cost effective operation of the combustion turbines and associated equipment. This includes monitoring and logging of operating equipment status and conditions, completing routine and non-routine maintenance activities, troubleshooting potential problems, developing appropriate repairs and incorporate those repairs, and conducting periodic sampling to insure compliance with OEM recommendations or permitted discharges. On occasions the incumbent may be required to operate the various types of equipment locally, or remotely, and must have a complete understanding of operating guidelines as they pertain to safety, permit limits, equipment specifications, and system reliability. Periodically the incumbent will develop a scope of work, evaluate contractor proposals, select and supervise the qualified contractor performing the required services and approve payment upon successful completion.
Supervisory Relations This position works under the direction of the Facility Manager.
