Illinois locations: Braceville, Byron, Clinton, Marseilles, Moline, Morris, and Warrenville Pennsylvania locations: Delta, Kennett Square, Middletown, and Pottstown New Jersey location: Forked River Job Description PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Functions as the site Instrumentation & Controls Component Specialist and Acoustics Analyst. Responsible for evaluating complex plant equipment degradation issues, coordinating component reliability improvements employing preventive, predictive and proactive techniques and component maintenance program optimization for all plant I&C components. Additional responsibilities include equipment performance monitoring and equipment reliability, as well as equipment component troubleshooting. The I&C Component Specialist role in PM optimization and equipment performance improvement is critical to controlling site maintenance resources and preserving key Site equipment assets. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES -Perform Field walk down inspections and analyses for I&C components. Provide consulting to Maintenance department in troubleshooting & repair -Assume component ownership for plant significant I&C equipment and perform periodic equipment condition assessment for common I&C component types. -Manage Instrument signal analysis and calibration database as-found application, analyses and reporting. -Participate in performing CAP and PEP program analyses, resolution development and implementation for I&C equipment issues. -Develop budget and business plan input (short term and long term) for all significant I&C components and Instrument signal analysis tools requirements. -Participate in working group activities with Fleet peers. Sharing experiences and lessons learned and incorporating Fleet best practices. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS Minimum: -4 year technical degree and a minimum of 8 years of utility or related industry experience or -2-year technical degree with a minimum of 10- years utility or related industry experience -2 years as an Instrument and Controls FLS or equivalent naval training (Chief status) can substitute for 2 yr degree -Level II Certification in Ultrasonics with 2 years field experience or a Level I Certification in Ultrasonics with 4 years field experience -Certification must meet the requirements in the American Society of Nondestructive Testing guideline SNT-TC-1A. If not certified, must attain Level II certification within 24 months -6 years of I&C equipment maintenance experience -Must have good interdepartmental communication skills (verbal and written). -Strong personal computer (PC) skills Preferred: -I&C equipment design knowledge Pay/Benefits/Work Schedule Exelon employees have access to one of the industry's most competitive benefit packages.
