Engineer Or Engineering Technologist Job In Gahanna Ohio

Transmission station engineering is looking for physical electrical substation engineer or engineering technologist.
Experience in substation physical engineering and design at different voltages from distribution to EHV. This position will require some amount of travel
to review/finalize project scope,coordinates construction activities, address field issues, etc. Projects will primarily be in VA,WV, Tennessee and TX.

Position Summary:

1. Prepare/Create and/or review electrical physical substation drawing (Ex. One line Diagram, Location Plan, Control Bldg, Electrical Assembly,
     Foundation Plan, Grounding Plan, etc.)
2. Provide functional and detailed scope and estimate for in house and outsourcing project.
3. Interface with the Outsourced Engineering Contractor (OEC) from the start to the close out of the project.
4. Provide engineering support to the planner, project management, construction, P &C , project scheduler and others.
5. Perform grounding calculation,lighting and sizing of electrical equipment (Ex. Battery, Charger, Station Service, Pt's, etc.)
6. Create and order material request for major equipment.

BSEE degree in engineering in a program accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).   Acceptable alternatives are (1) BSEE degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a PE license in any state of the U.S. or (2) BSEE degree in engineering (non-ABET) independently evaluated and found to be equivalent to an engineering degree awarded by a regionally accredited college or university in the U.S. PE registration desirable but not required. Microstation and/or CAD experience is a plus. Good communication skill both verbally and in writing. Good working attitude.

Technologist Position –
BSEET or directly related experience of 5 years, with experience in Microstation and/or CAD. Good communication skill both verbally and in writing.
