Job Description

Develop and manage a portfolio of third party partners to sell AEP Retail Energy product offerings in the ERCOT Market.
Use existing relationships, cold-calling, e-mail and networking to identify and recruit a partner portfolio of agents, brokers, and consultants (ABC's) to sell AEP Retail Energy product offerings.

Educate partner portfolio brokers to better understand AEP Retail Energy products through training.   Training may include in-person meetings, webinars, lunch-and-learn meetings, and assisting with customer calls or appointments.

Consistently and effectively communicate industry news and events to partners through frequent phone and email communications.

Build company credibility, brand value, and trust with partners and their prospective customers.

Build and maintain a consistent deal pipeline through partner portfolio brokers.

Understand the AEP Retail Energy deal process including credit, pricing, contracting, etc and facilitate potential customers through the deal process from initial pricing to signed contract.

Distribute AEP Retail product pricing to partners daily.

Meet or exceed target margin goals as set annually.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors Degree in business administration or equivalent.



Minimum of 5 years experience of Indirect Sales in the energy business.   Proof of an existing book of partner/customer base is a significant advantage.



Proven history of meeting or exceeding margin targets.



Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat and CRM database software.



Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage time effectively.



High ethical behavior, superior interpersonal skills.



Strong problem-solving skills: ability to identify a problem and come up with a satisfactory solution.



Strong analytical skills.
