Plant Maintenance Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is covered by NERC CIP cyber security standards.  Prior to being hired, promoted, or transferred into the position, the candidate must successfully pass a Personnel Risk Assessment, which includes identity verification and a criminal background check.  Prior to being granted unescorted access to cyber secure areas, the candidate must attend cyber security training. Annual cyber security training is also required.

SUMMARY

Supervises department superintendents and administrators.  Plans, organizes, leads, and controls the station's generation, environmental, and auxiliary equipment and systems maintenance activities.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sets goals and objectives for the department and develops plans for how the goals and objectives are to be accomplished

Develops, applies, and meets budgets that support the department's goals and objectives

Establishes, executes and achieves work sequences, schedules, milestones, and deadlines

Develops, enacts, and enforces policies, procedures, programs, and guidelines

Supplies the materials, tools, capital, and other resources necessary to accomplish the department's goals, objectives, and improvement initiatives

Determines, develops, and maintains work relationships among the station's various departments, disciplines, and work-groups

Develops and achieves equipment and systems maintenance work plans and schedules

Establishes methods of measuring, monitoring, and reporting work in progress and completed

Evaluates work in progress and results achieved against the standards

Corrects deficient performance and improves methods and results 
 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a technical discipline with seven to nine years of related experience including two years of management experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline. 

Master's degree preferred.
