Job Description
Job Summary
Strong Facilities Management Engineering background in building operations and systems support.
Performs multi-discipline engineering work supporting commercial building operations in the TVA West region.  
Identifies/develops opportunities to improve processes and facilities.  
Recommends, develops, implements, and verifies operating parameters, sequences, and procedures to ensure buildings are operated in the most effective and efficient manner.  
Systems include all utilities (air, fuel, water, electricity, steam, oil, sewage, etc.) and associated equipment which use these utilities (HVAC, ventilation, refrigeration, elevators, fire protection, etc.)
Provides technical expertise supporting predictive, corrective, and preventive maintenance ac activities.
Recommends/develops alternative solutions to maintenance problems to ensure the most effective and efficient techniques are used.  
Coordinates with regional architects, operations and maintenance managers and other engineers for consistency.  
Acts as a technical point of contact for building system additions and modifications.  Provides/coordinates engineering review of systems-related changes.  
May serve as coordinator or technical specialist with responsibilities for implementing variety of programs including maintenance scheduling/tracking, energy efficiency/reduction, environmental, and safety.  
May develop proposals, provide cost estimates, and write associated justifications for capital projects.  
May act as project manager for selected technical projects.  

Supervision Received
Independently performs assignments with instructions as to general results expected.  
Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems.  
Supervision may be provided by a higher level engineer or by the first-line manager.
Skills and Proficiencies (May be job or organization specific)

Sound knowledge of all Engineering Disciplines, Commercial Building Systems, Communication and Interpersonal skills, Project management, Problem Solving Skills

Minimum Eligibility Factors
* Education and Experience/Certificates, Licenses, and Registration Requirements/Other Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering or comparable related engineering discipline from an accredited school.  
* Full competence as a multi-disciplined engineer as demonstrated by several years experience at the Engineer Level as a Systems Engineer or Discipline Engineer.  
* Must have demonstrated proficiency in engineering as evidenced by completion of Engineering Graduate Progression Plan or equivalent post engineering graduate education and experience. Certification as a licensed professional engineer is desirable.

Local candidates and those with TVA experience may be preferred.
