We have a challenging opportunity for a Plant Overhaul Management Manager in Minneapolis, MN! In this role, you will be accountable for the leadership, direction and management of all overhaul activities and personnel to ensure achievement of overhaul performance objectives. You will ensure the effective use of and lead the continuous improvement of overhaul management processes and overhaul practices. You will be responsible for the selection of and optimization of the workforce used in support of overhauls. Other duties include: Manage the engagement of and provide direction which ensures the effective use of matrixed resources in support of successful overhaul planning, overhaul execution and the continuous overhaul learning cycle. Ensure compliance with the company's contractor safety policy and that safety is a prime focus of all overhaul personnel. Responsible for development & effective management of organizational budgets. Responsible for the development of staff. This position requires travel for extended periods away from base work location during overhaul seasons. Responsibilities - Overhaul Management: Manages all aspects of overhaul planning, overhaul execution and the post overhaul continuous learning cycle for the Energy Supply fleet (>90 units). Is accountable for the leadership and work direction for all overhaul labor resources (>600) and is responsible to effectively manage the overhaul budget (>$50M annually). Responsible for compliance with critical path schedules, work scope specifications, and overhaul O&M and capital project performance objectives. Responsible for ensuring and enforcing that the standardized overhaul planning, execution and continuous learning cycle process is utilized across the fleet. Is accountable to meet or exceed overhaul performance objectives with plant management.
- Overhaul Workforce: In partnership with plant management and Supply Chain, the Overhaul Manager is responsible for the selection of all overhaul labor resources including contractor selection, and the determination of what work will be performed by contractors and in-house workers. Leads the efforts to establish effective relationships with contractors and the improvement in contractor performance. Ensures contractors are qualified to perform assigned work. Identifies and implements actions to optimize overhaul labor resources to achieve required flexibility, availability and cost effectiveness.
- Fleet Process Standardization: Ensures the effective use of, and leads the continuous improvement of overhaul management processes, overhaul practices and supporting systems across the fleet to bring added value to the business. Collaborates with others to share lessons learned and best practices and incorporates these into the Overhaul Management process. Drives process improvement through the consistent deployment of lessons learned across the fleet. Provides leadership and input in the AHP and overhaul council process
- Team Collaboration: Manages the engagement of, provides work direction to and directly manages matrixed resources (technical subject matter experts, system owners, plant engineers and other plant resources) to ensure successful overhaul planning, overhaul execution and the continuous overhaul learning cycle.
- Safety: Responsible for implementation and compliance with the company's contractor safety policy as it relates to all plant overhaul activities. Ensure that safety is a prime focus of all personnel and that all safety policies & procedures are adhered to by all workers.
- Organizational Management: Responsible for development & effective management of organizational budgets. Responsible for the development of staff. Establishes a culture of high performance. Ensures performance goals and objectives for organization are aligned with other primary business partners to foster behaviors that support a continuous improvement culture and pursuit of excellence.

- 10 years experience in power generation with previous leadership experience.
- A comprehensive understanding of power plant operation and maintenance is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple work groups and/or contractors of different disciplines.
- Demonstrated relationship skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possesses the ability to effectively use critical path scheduling.
- Must be able to lead organization through cultural change.
