Job Description
REPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as a senior financial analyst providing economic, financial and risk management expertise related to power resource and supply investment to all areas of TVA.  Participates in cross-organizational project teams in the development and implementation of major financial, risk management and business development projects.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Performs operational risk and financial analyses (valuation, sensitivity, risk, and decision analysis) of new power plant (gas, nuclear, coal) and power purchase opportunities, and existing TVA generation assets.  
2. Assists in the development and analysis of power-related business opportunities with inter-departmental teams.  Produces formal results and presentations.
3. Develop computer models for valuation, including mark-to-market, real options, and other methods as needed.
4. Performs financial and risk analyses for the benefit of other TVA organizations.  This includes the development of applicable financial evaluation procedures and models, field evaluations, and final recommendations to the manager of the applicable organization.  
5. Represents the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis, on agency-wide projects that have been established to resolve key business issues.  
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Education - A B.S. Degree in finance, business, economics or a related field of study; or equivalent education, training and experience is required.  An advanced degree in Business or Finance with related technical experience is desirable.

Experience - Eight to ten years of experience in applied problem-solving in financial analysis or related discipline, including work experience and/or knowledge of advanced concepts in financial analysis and risk analysis; a working knowledge of electric utility industry; and proficiency in computer modeling techniques and software packages.  

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Must have good analytic skills, communication skills, and be able to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
