Job Description
Direct the activities of Test Engineers in the Power System Reliability Group in providing technical solutions to client problems. Develop and deliver technical services to Fossil, Nuclear and Utility locations consistent with Client expectations. Provide direction and technical expertise to achieve organizational financial and operational objectives. Ensure continuous improvement of self and group personnel. Responsible for daily supervision, monitoring and coaching of employees to ensure a productive workforce in compliance with company policies, procedures and collective bargaining agreements. Responsibilities include work planning, on-the-job training, testing, inspection, and initiating requisitions for procurement of tools, materials, equipment, and etc., from vendors and services from contractors. Responsible for the calibration and storage of instrument test and measuring equipment and ensuring personnel are knowledgeable of and in compliance with applicable Standards and Procedures. Participate in client meetings and MTS planning activities. Support root cause analysis to assist in lowering operating and maintenance costs and meeting reliability goals.

Duties:
1) Responsible for supervising the activities of Test Group personnel so as to meet client expectations while ensuring a safe work environment. Train, coach and counsel in strengthening technical skills and building teamwork. Communicate with the Manager on a routine basis to ensure high standards are maintained and client expectations are met.
2) Responsible for ensuring testing activities are executed in accordance with established procedures, work instructions, QA and regulatory requirements so as to ensure the technical accuracy of results.
3) Plan, schedule and execute work in a cost efficient manner.
4) Achieve department financial and operational goals.
5) Consult with Clients in developing solutions to specialized testing requirements.
6) Develop and execute testing services to meet business needs and client expectations.
7) Ensure implementation of corporate and department policies.
8) Communicate with other departments (Operations, Maintenance and Engineering) both onsite and offsite to resolve problems and to effectively utilize resources.
9) Must achieve ANSI Level III certification within technical discipline(s) as applicable.
10) Knowledge of the IBEW Agreement handling of grievances and the Positive Discipline Process.
11) Ensure that Fossil’s OEM Process is implemented to maintain work and reporting standards.
12) Must acquire unescorted access to Nuclear Power Plants.
13) Perform any additional duties assigned by the Electrical Division Manager.

REQUIRED:
1. BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
2. Minimum 2 years of related supervisory experience.
3. Technical knowledge in the area of Insulation testing of Power and Instrument Transformers, Generators and Motors.
4. Demonstrates computer skills with broad PC familiarity including knowledge and proficiency in MS Office Suite products.
5. Demonstrates interpersonal, written and good verbal communication skills.
6. Must possess a valid driver license.

DESIRED:
1. Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Science, Management or Business.
2. Technical Certifications in related work.
3. Knowledge of SAP
4. Knowledge of Power Plants and Utility switch yards and components and associated practices, procedures and requirements.
