Job Description

Reports directly to AREVA Solar Procurement Director - Projects

Position is based on the project countries and is embedded within the Project Team

Project Procurement Coordinator is responsible for being the single contact point and for managing the interface between AREVA Solar Supply Management and the project Organizations.

Among his/her responsibilities are:

· Coordinating the various procurement and logistics activities with diverse areas of the Project;

· Being an active partner with the Project Manager and the Project Team;

· Attending all relevant project meetings, reporting and updating both project Manager and Project team on all relevant events and information;

· Supports the contract manager on the negotiation with diverse service suppliers, including construction contractors and consultants;

· Support the project scheduler in properly updating the project schedule to ensure proper programing of the construction activities;

· Support the sourcing effort in the local project area;

· Provides mutual feedback between Project and Supply Management Organizations to establish priorities and facilitate actions during project planning and execution;

· Ensures compliance with Supply Management Procedures

· Initiates claims against suppliers

· Other as direct by Supply Management leadership

Required:

· 8 to 10 years experience in Project Procurement role preferably in Construction or energy industries

· Strong technical background/ or experience in Industrial Construction, Service Contracts, Power Generation Equipment and types of Steel both domestic and international

· Good Planning and Organizational Skills

· Ability to work with multiple departments in a very fast paced environment

· Ability to interpret construction, manufacturing drawings and specifications

· Fluency in English language

· Good communication skills

Preferred:

· Previous experience with large EPC projects; international experience a plus

· Knowledge of SAP

· Foreign languages a plus
