Job Description
Construction Coordinator
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will coordinate the work between the EPCM team, General Contractor and AREVA operations for the JEB Upgrade Project. You will be responsible for providing construction and manpower projections, and monitoring the quality of work, costs and schedule. This position will be based out of our McClean Lake operating site on a 7 days in/7 days off work schedule.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will also:

  • Ensure AREVA Health, Safety and Environmental programs are implemented and adhered at all times by all involved in the project construction activities
  • As Owner representative, monitor the quality of work by GC and sub-contractors and report to EPCM and Project Manager by conducting inspection tours during construction
  • Ensure the construction change logs are up-to-date and the impact on EHS, schedule and costs are analyzed and understood by all parties
  • Collect and coordinate EPCM and GC flight and room needs and communicate information related to site services
  • Perform various other duties related to successfully initiating and completing this construction project
  • Assist in commissioning as required.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of construction experience
  • Educated as an Engineer or Engineering Technologist
  • Project Management Experience
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to foster and maintain good working relationships with the EPCM team, General Contractor and sub-contractors
  • Ability to work a 7 days out and 7 days home schedule at the McClean Lake mine and mill site
Additional attributes that could lead to your selection in this opportunity:
  • Knowledge of construction and electrical codes and methods is an asset
  • Experience documenting and reporting deficient or inadequate action during construction
