AREVA Solar's product is a solar steam generator (boiler) that is scalable in 2.5 MWe (7.5 MWt) increments. Primary applications for the steam generators are: Steam boosters (producing steam to augment existing power plants) Steam for industrial applications Power generation (stand-alone) larger 50MWe - preferably 100 MWe. We offer equipment sales (OEM model) or turn-key facilities through local or regional developers or directly to utilities, IPPs or industrial customers. Job description : AREVA Solar is seeking a Project Director for our Reliance India project. Responsibilities and duties include: As Project Director Project initiation, planning, execution, controlling and closing the project within the stipulated time frame Manage project dependencies and team and stake holder relationships Organize, plan and manage all construction work Prepare review and organize Level III/IV schedule based on the contract Experienced in Earn Value Monitoring of Construction contracts Manage project risks through continuous monitoring of identified issues, timely identification of new risks and prompt, effective mitigation action Lead in Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Performance Guarantee Test Run Assessment and reporting of Project progress to the Management and other stake holders Manage Customer Meeting at the site and maintain problem / issue log and resolutions Review and approve erection schemes Manage Project Portfolio to achieve and outperform the organizational budget Ensure application of Quality Assurance according to the organization and customer requirement Liaison with local Government Authorities to ensure statutory compliance EHS Compliance as per the local regulation and project requirement As Managing Director Provide leadership for newly formed Indian Solar subsidiary Full responsibility for AREVA Solar's P/L Formulate and implement annual business plan in order to achieve short term/long term business objectives Plan, Strengthen, Reward and Develop Human Resource of AREVA Solar India to build human capital needed for long-term business growth. Represent site and organization, maintain and manage relationships with statutory authorities, and oversee corporate governance requirements, to safeguard AREVA's interests. Support business development and tendering activities in order to achieve order intake objectives. Periodically monitor key operational parameters, facilitate/guide operational efficiency such as with internal and external stake holders for on time, quality execution of all areas of operations. All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position. Minimum of 20 years project and general management experience in Energy / Process / Construction sector preferably for EPC of Complex Turnkey Projects Engineering degrees in Mechanical / Electrical Should have led large scale turnkey projects in sizes of 100 MWe and more Should have target and task oriented leadership skill Should possess competencies for multi-tasking and meeting aggressive deadlines and budget Willingness to travel to remote location Strong English and Hindi communication skills High ethical standards The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position. PMI Certification / Project Management Certification / Post Graduation in Engineering/MBA. MS Project/Primavera knowledge. Should possess skills to motivate and inspire team members.
