The AREVA Reactors & Services Business Group:
The Reactors and Services Business Group combines the nuclear reactor design and construction activities and the products and services activities necessary for the maintenance, operation, modernization, and improvement of power plants. Job Description:
AREVA is seeking a Product Team Technician for our Canberra location in Meriden, CT.
Responsibilities and duties include:
  • Assemble repair, calibrate, and test nuclear instrumentation, such as preamplifiers, amplifiers, timing modules, analog to digital converters, digital signal processors, power supplies, counters, generators, and single & multi-channel analyzers.
  • Assemble instruments in accordance with engineering assembly diagrams using hand tools.
  • May operate small production machines during assembly.
  • Test instruments for resistance, voltage, frequency, current, and other characteristics, using voltmeters, oscilloscopes, counters, computers, and other specialized test equipment in accordance with engineering procedures.
  • Basic troubleshooting, repair or replacement of defective components in instruments, using schematics, hand tools, and soldering & desoldering equipment, computers, and other specialized test equipment. Includes disassembly of instruments, using hand tools, and examining parts for defects.
  • Keep QA records of repair, calibration and test of instruments.
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year post-high school education in electronics, electrical engineering, or similar discipline, OR 3 years electronics related experience.
