Position Summary Under general direction, responsible for preparing business operations analysis including analysis of competitors, operational effectiveness and capacity utilization with a focus on improving the business's overall financial results. This is a senior-skill level normally without supervisory responsibility. However, may supervise and/or provide guidance and direction to other PPL employees in support of producing high quality, timely and cost-effective business operations analysis solutions. Works independently with minimal guidance. Primary Responsibilities 1. Analyzes, plans, conducts or prepares plans or procedures that provide operational and/or technical support to business operations to achieve specific objectives. 2. Maintains an ongoing interface with various organization and regional groups in areas such as decision analysis, technical needs, planning and execution. 3. Maintains an understanding of the organization's business operations and industry in order to conduct analysis of business operations metrics. Develops and utilizes the results from planning models. 4. Solves moderately complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions. 5. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve products or services. 6. Provides functional advice or training to less-experienced positions. 7. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may supervise; may direct the work of other staff members. 8. Develops internal and external communications of actual results and/or performance. Candidate Qualifications Candidates must meet the basic qualifications to receive consideration.
