Job Description
Six month Co-Op position to assist with engineering functions in the Hope Creek Engineering Department. The co-op's assignments will be supervised by the Programs, Plant or Design Engineering Branch Manager and will support other engineers in these disciplines (Programs, Systems or Design). Job functions include assisting with identification, investigation, and resolution of plant operating, safety and design issues to ensure plant reliability and availability. Support Engineers with monitoring, trending and assessing of systems and components to improve reliability. Assist in engineering evaluation of ideas and research of questions in specialty areas. Assist engineers with system performance for designated systems. Support cross-functional teams to manage/resolve system performance issues. Perform system walk downs.

REQUIRED: MUST BE A CURRENTLY ENROLLED ENGINEERING STUDENT PURSING A BS DEGREE IN ENGINEERING from an accredited institution in the following disciplines Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Engineering Science. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Must have good written and oral communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point. Must meet Nuclear requirements for Unescorted Site Access.~~
