AREVA Solar:
AREVA Solar is a new product line of AREVA Renewables and is currently pursuing opportunities in the Indian market. AREVA Solar's product is a solar steam generator (boiler) that is scalable in 2.5 MWe (7.5 MWt) increments. Primary applications for the steam generators are:
  • Steam boosters (producing steam to augment existing power plants)
  • Steam for industrial applications
  • Power generation (stand-alone) larger 50MWe - preferably 100 MWe. We offer equipment sales (OEM model) or turn-key facilities through local or regional developers or directly to utilities, IPPs or industrial customers.
Job description :
AREVA Solar is seeking a Construction/Site Manager for our Rajasthan, India location.
Responsibilities and duties include:
  • Manage the construction of a Solar Field at a remote location.
  • Interface daily with client team and regularly with the Project Director.
  • Responsible for the Site Safety and Quality of the Installation.
  • Monitor schedule and coordinate activities of various contractors and on-site project personnel.
  • Organize, plan and manage all construction work.
  • Review and update Project Level III/IV schedule based on the site activities.
  • Update the Earn Value Monitoring of Construction contracts.
  • Participate in identification and mitigation of project risks through continuous monitoring of identified issues, timely identification of new risks and prompt, effective mitigation action.
  • Manage Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Performance Guarantee Test Run at site.
  • Review and approve erection schemes.
  • Manage site budget.
  • Ensure application of Quality Assurance according to the organization and customer requirements.
  • Liaison with local Government Authorities to ensure statutory compliance.
  • EHS Compliance as per the local regulation and project requirement.
  • Live and work at camp job located in Rajasthan.
AREVA Solar is entering the Indian market with CLFR technology projects. The team will have to successfully execute the first project on time and with all the cost measures considered.
Manage civil, mechanical and electrical construction activities of the various selected subcontractors and provide oversight and guidance for the EPCM activities in the Power Block.
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
  • Minimum of 15-20 years experience in Construction of Energy / Process plants preferably for EPC of Complete Turnkey Projects.
  • Strong advocate for Construction Safety.
  • Capable of conveying Quality culture.
  • Should have led large scale construction projects in sizes of 1-2 million manhours.
  • Should have track record of success in the Indian market.
  • Should possess competencies for multi-tasking and meeting aggressive deadlines and budget.
  • Willingness to travel to remote location.
  • Strong English speaker with exceptional communication skill.
  • Hindi speaker.
The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.
  • Engineering degrees in Mechanical / Electrical
  • PMI Certification / Project Management Certification / Post Graduation in Engineering
  • MS Project/Primavera knowledge
  • Should possess skills to motivate and inspire team members
  • Rajasthai speaker preferred.
TRAVEL
Routine travel - planned in advance. Usually every alternate week.
