Job Description

We are looking for a talented Telephone System Wireman to join the Xcel Energy team in Minnesota! This position is responsible for the installation and maintenance of all Voice and Data equipment and distribution wiring at various locations throughout the Xcel Energy territory. You will travel between power plants, corporate offices and service centers to fulfill service orders for employees, install and repair equipment and a variety of other duties to maintain the distribution wiring for Xcel Energy facilities.

1. High school diploma or GED
2. Must possess a valid drivers license.
3. Post High School Vocational/Technical training in communication electronics desired.

Special Requirements:
1. Ability to lift 50 pounds or more safely
2. Ability to stand or kneel for extended periods of time
3. Ability to work overtime
4. Ability to work independently
5. Ability to travel throughout operational area with occasional overnight stays.
