Job Description
We are looking for a hard-working Floorman (*Rotating) to join the Xcel Energy team in Newport, Minnesota! In this position you will perform general vehicle and power operated equipment basic maintenance. Your responsibilities include: unloading, washing, lubrication, parking, outdoor refueling, tire repair, general shop cleanup, parts running, driving large trucks with trailers and operating power equipment, including other shop related functions as directed by management.

Must have the following:
Successful applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED and meet the following criteria:
  • A minimum of two years experience working in vehicle fleets, automotive or truck related environment or a Vo-Tech certificate in mechanical related field.
  • Applicant must meet driver qualification requirements as specified in FMCSR parts 382 and 391 including the possession of a valid commercial drivers license (CDL Class A).
  • Ability to lift 50 to 70 lbs routinely, perform basic mathematics and read/write the English language.
  • Must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
