Job Description
Note: Position will report directly to Raymond Alvarez at 744 Broad Street, Newark location however, all positions in DP&C will locate to Hadley Road 2nd and 3rd quarter 2012.

Leads outsourced engineering resources and perform engineering services for the Delivery Project and Construction (DP&C) – Project Management Office (PMO). Primary focus will be on the preliminary engineering and engineering analysis for projects being considered by Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) to be executed by DP&C.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Review Requests for Estimates to determine level of completeness and accuracy
• Scope of Work Development and/or Analysis
• Estimate Development and/or Analysis
• Integration of Projects into the DP&C Portfolio of Work
• Oversee the development of Preliminary Design/Engineering including all packages required for Licensing and Permitting, Land Acquisition Requirements, Easement Requirements and Constructability Analysis
• Oversee the development of Detailed Design/Engineering, if required
• Scope of Work development for additional Engineering Outsourced Resource requirements.
• Analysis of Preliminary Outage Requirements
• Organize and Manage field visits and inspections as required
• Additional Technical Support as required including providing technical expertise through the application of engineering and business knowledge and PSE&G Design and Engineering Standards

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 10 years experience directly related to Substation design, engineering and construction
• Thorough working knowledge of electrical power system design
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to establish procedures
• Must possess a valid New Jersey Drivers License
• Must complete necessary training and qualify to hold an assignment in PSE&G’s Tagging System.
• Must foster an inclusive work environment and respects all aspects of diversity

Desirable:

• PE License
• Masters Degree in Power Engineering
