Overview: Coordinates Plant Reliability Improvement Program. Writes plant procedures and maintains procedure database. Provides support to Maintenance and Operations in performance testing and evaluation of test results. Coordinates efforts between all GenOn facilities to ensure consistency of reliability programs. Responsibilities: Oversees Reliability Improvement Program by reviewing recurring equipment failures, reviewing incident/accident reports, conducting root cause analysis.Conducts Reliability Improvement Team meetings, monitors operating, maintenance recommendations to ensure expected outcomes.Measures the effectiveness of the Reliability Improvement Program by trending plant forced outage and plant availability metrics. Focuses on continuous plant reliability improvement. Maintain Critical Equipment List. Ensure PM's are performed on critical equipment and ensure critical spares inventory is maintained. Produce Daily / Weekly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports to continuously track effectiveness of work management process. Develop corrective measures when KPI's indicate a need for improvement.Make recommendations to plant management regarding methods to improve equipment reliability and performance or to improve plant efficiency. Maintains Incident Report Log; provides reports to Management.Performs job site inspections, monitor repairs and operations processes.Oversees Maintenance and Operating Procedures, maintains Procedures Database, edits, writes and reviews procedures.Oversees Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Practices, tracks equipment operating hours and number of starts, updates and schedules preventive and predictive maintenance, maintains historical data.Provide assistance in coordination of Condition Monitoring Programs and provide analysis of results.Assists plant engineers with unit/equipment testing.Assists Plant Operations Coordinator with Preventive Maintenance Scheduling and other issues affecting plant operations.Assists with data analysis to determine proper repair or operations methods/ improvements; interface with PI trending of equipment performance, PI trending.Assist in identification of quality of station material by verifying quality control on equipment refurbishment, monitors lubricants.Acts as Site NERC CoordinatorPerforms duties of Work Package Manager on assigned projects Qualifications: - Five (5) years experience in developing, analyzing, updating and monitoring power plant procedures.
- Proficient in SAP; Microsoft Access; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Accident / Incident /NCR Databases; PI and PI Data Logger, TapRoot RCA Program.
- Experience in technical writing; technical background in Operations, Chemistry and/or Maintenance.
Preferred: - Associates or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent power plant experience.

- Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner; familiarity in use of various hand/power driven and hydraulic tools and machinery.
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, twist, kneel, crawl, pull/push and lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk and squat for extended periods of time.
- Ability to interpret and apply instructions, specifications, blueprints and procedures
- Possess a valid jurisdictional driver's license.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Ability to perform work both indoors and outdoors, requiring continuous physical activity, sometimes of a strenuous nature.

- Ability to wear a respirator and other job related personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to meet (on an annual basis) appropriate physical evaluations identified by Health and Safety as prerequisites to performing certain task and training activities; possess good hearing and vision.
