This is a "Project" function designed to support the project work currently in DP&C for a duration of 3 to 5 years in duration (defined employment start and termination date). Which carries certain Benefit Limitations (i.e., no separation benefits). Director Level approval and waiver will be required to bid on other PSEG opportunities and incumbent will not be able to bid on any new opportunities until the last 12 months of the defined employment assignment. All positions will relocate to Hadley Road 2nd & 3rd Qtr 2012. Provides project management, project controls, contract administration and quality assurance support at the associate level within the Delivery Projects & Construction (DP&C) Organization. Provide technical support to Project Controls Engineers and Project Managers including developing and submitting purchase requisitions and change order requests. Create vendor bid evaluation spreadsheets to aid SCM and Delivery Projects & Construction in the award of vendor contracts. Verify vendor invoices for accuracy including proper accounting, sufficient supporting documentation for all man-hours, expenses, materials, and miscellaneous charges incurred. Prepare journal entries as required. Coordinate with vendors to reconcile invoice discrepancies and keep vendors informed regarding payment information. Maintain, update, and provide monthly project controls documentation for all vendor firms. Monitor vendor project commitment status and generate reports in order to initiate the change order process with Project Controls Engineers and Project Managers when purchase order funds are minimal using Work Management and Materials Management and Project Systems modules in SAP. Maintain stringent electronic and paper copy document control processes for all project related information. Issue notes of meetings. Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls. Requirements: • High School diploma • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and MOS Sharepoint. • Sold knowledge of SAP Materials Management and Project Systems Module Reporting Techniques. • Strong organizational, communication and writing skills. Excellent customer interaction skills to resolve invoicing issues. • Exceptional client relations with vendor representatives regarding information exchange for all project related work. • Must have a valid drivers’ license Desirable: • College Degree (Associate or Bachelors) in Business. Experience in the utility industry. | |
