Foxboro IA DCS Configuration experience - 5 years
Computer networking experience - 5 years
NERC CIP Compliance experience - 2 years
Allen Bradley PLC Configuration experience - 5 years

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is covered by NERC CIP cyber security standards.  Prior to being hired, promoted, or transferred into the position, the candidate must successfully pass a Personnel Risk Assessment, which includes identity verification and a criminal background check.  Prior to being granted unescorted access to cyber secure areas, the candidate must attend cyber security training. Annual cyber security training is also required.


Works with Engineering, Distributed Control System (DCS), Programable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Operation groups to develop control logic and graphic screens and to assist in maintaining compliance with NERC regulations.
Troubleshoots and provides technical guidance for selection and installation of instrumentation systems

Stays current on instrumentation designs and their applicability to a coal fired power plant.

Works independently  and with manfacture control technicians to design and implement changes to the DCS

Performs maintenance and administration of operating systems and network equipment including but not limited to batching and anti virus definition installation

Attends  Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as required

Attends training on Foxboro IA DCS and Allan Bradley PLC systems

Performs daily activities to ensure compliance with NERC-CIP Policy, Processes and Procedures

Creates and maintains documentation necessary to demonstrate regulatory compliance with NERC-CIP standards

Stays current on NERC Regulations as they pertain to a coal fired power plant.

Works closely with the PNM Project Manager and the San Juan Generating Station NERC Designated Representative to upgrade plant NERC Regulation procedures and to keep the plant in compliance with all required NERC Regulations

Performs other duties as identified

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in a related field with seven or more years of related experience in the instrumentation and control field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline.

Coal fired power plant maintenance and or design experience preferred.

System design and/or configuration experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must possess current, legally valid driver's license and meet the Company's driving record requirements.

Security +, Microsoft MCITP and Juniper Certification preferred.

Engineer-in-Training/Fundamentals-of-Engineering (EIT/FE) Certificate preferred.

Ability to obtain New Mexico PE License preferred.

SALARY RANGE:

$66,660.00 - $111,100.00
