Job Description
THIS IS A PROJECT POSITION

3 to 5 years in duration (defined employment start and termination dates) which carries certain Benefit Limitations, i.e., no separation benefits. Director level approval and waiver required to bid on other PSEG opportunities and not eligible to bid on any new opportunities until the last 12 months of the defined employment assignment.

NOTE: THIS POSITION WILL MOVE TO HADLEY ROAD, SOUTH PLAINFIELD 2nd & 3rd Qtr.

Perform civil construction supervisory responsibilities for the Delivery Project and Construction (DP&C) - Inside Plant Construction Group. Support the activities of major new, replacement and upgraded inside plant facilities. Manage and coordinate the work of multiple contractors and trades with responsibility for contract administration and compliance in accordance with Corporate Policy. Resolve contractor conflicts, schedule issues and labor disputes. Drive/promote Safety throughout the job site and ensure environmental compliance. Interface with governmental agencies for regulatory compliance with permitting and licensing requirements. Direct the layout, excavation, assembly/installation of major electrical equipment foundations, structures and conduit / cable. Coordinate the testing of spoils with Resource Recovery and schedule activities to minimize disruption to facilities. Provide daily job site inspection of work to ensure completion in accordance with established designs, specifications and PSE&G/industry standards. Complete construction reports, Contractor billing, in-service reports, Contractor/vendor evaluations and project close-out reports. Perform on-call duties and provide emergency response and restoration of major inside plant failures. Direct contract employees as required. Supervise the efforts of Bargaining Unit Associates and Contractors (trade union personnel). Must complete necessary training and qualify to hold an assignment in PSE&G’s Tagging System. Submit required outages through WinTRIS (Transmission) and Division tagging authorities.

Essential Requirements:

• High school graduate.
• 5 - 10 years in Construction management experience in civil construction, site development, structures and layout of facilities.
• Exhibit knowledge of computer based business applications.
• Must have strong communications skills.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Must foster an inclusive work environment and respects all aspects of diversity.
• Must demonstrate and value differences in others' strengths, perspectives, approaches, and personal choices.

Desired:
• Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, Construction Management or Business)
• American Concrete Inspector (ACI) certified
• Knowledge and experience in electric distribution design/engineering, operations, maintenance or construction
