THIS IS A PROJECT POSITION 3 to 5 years in duration (defined employment start and termination dates) which carries certain Benefit Limitations, i.e., no separation benefits. Director level approval and waiver required to bid on other PSEG opportunities and not eligible to bid on any new opportunities until the last 12 months of the defined employment assignment. NOTE: THIS POSITION WILL MOVE TO HADLEY ROAD, SOUTH PLAINFIELD 2nd & 3rd Qtr. Coordinate a group of technical professionals performing the engineering and construction services required to provide major new facilities and perform modifications to existing facilities in Transmission and Distribution, (Electric, Gas and Civil). . Develop long range group strategies and goals, plans for project assignments, and provide construction guidance and performance feedback to the PMO. • Responsible for the safety and environmental performance of the group • Ensure the evaluation and determination of the most cost effective and efficient method of design and construction utilizing internal and/or external services. • Directly accountable for achieving work objectives and customer needs. • Ensure Project Construction and Design Touch points are identified with new projects • Ensure Project Construction Risk Analysis are incorporated with new projects • Ensure Project Schedule concerns are identified in the PMO with new projects. Education, experience, licenses/certificates, tests, etc: Essential: • BS engineering or equivalent experience; construction management experience; supervisory experience; • Extensive experience and knowledge of Transmission and Distribution equipment and systems. • Must foster an inclusive work environment and respects all aspects of diversity. • Must demonstrate and value differences in others' strengths, perspectives, approaches, and personal choices. • Must have a valid drivers’ license Desirable: PE licenses; MS Engineering/other; Knowledge of Labor agreements | |
