POSITION DESCRIPTION
AREVA Federal Services LLC, a subsidiary of AREVA, is seeking a Sr Contract Administrator.
Summary:
Assist the Prime Contracts Manager with those duties and activities required for MOX Services to comply with all contractual requirements and company goals and objectives, including maximizing revenue, cash flow and margin over the life of the Project.
Provide subject matter expert knowledge of the prime contract requirements and effectively communicate in sufficient detail said requirements to Project personnel when required to ensure contract compliance and customer satisfaction in the completion of Contract requirements.
Responsibilities:
Review government and commercial RFP´s, teaming agreements, contracts, change orders and other legally binding documents. Provide contract advice and recommendations to management/technical personnel regarding contract administration, risk avoidance, change order management, and cost and pricing.
Coordinate review of contract documents with Legal and Risk Management as necessary. Support Procurement in assessing prime contract flow down requirements as they relate to the acquisition process.
Obtain Certificates of Insurance and Bonds, as required.
Interface with Legal, Finance and other functional departments as needed on matters relating to the prime contract
Provide support as requested in areas of contract close-out, indirect rate adjustments, federal government audits, proposal preparation, development of non-disclosure agreements, OCI mitigation plans, DOE directives, etc.
Advise Contract Manager of scope and administrative procedures to achieve full contractual compliance.
Develop contract language and cost/pricing data for government and commercial contracts.
Analyze requests for proposals and contract terms and appraise senior management of potential business risks.
Develop special/specific contract language and custom agreements to meet special project needs.
Identify areas of potential risks to corporation (warranties, insurance, liability, indemnification) and enforce contract provisions.
Perform position duties and tasks independently in a diverse and ever-changing work environment.
Other position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Track compliance with contract requirements
· Administration of Team, Affiliate & Intercompany agreements
· Assist with performance of contract required administrative tasks, invoicing, accounts receivable collection, change identification, request for equitable (REA) preparation and resolution
· Track and report performance on Award Fee contracts
COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Shaw AREVA MOX Services, LLC is a consortium of companies based in Aiken, SC and formed to advance the Department of Energy's mission to dispose of surplus weapon grade plutonium. The plutonium is disposed of by mixing it with uranium and forming a mixed oxide (MOX) fuel for use in existing nuclear reactors. After the MOX fuel is irradiated in the reactor, the plutonium can no longer be used for nuclear weapons. AREVA Federal Services provides resources to MOX Services for the design, construction, licensing and operations of the MOX Fuel Fabrication Facility (MFFF) to be built at the Savannah River Site. Resources provided are in the following disciplines: Licensing, ES&H, Integrated Safety Analysis, QA, Engineering Assurance, Process Engineering, Systems Engineering, Design and Engineering (Structural, Electrical, I &C, Seismic, Nuclear Criticality, Piping, Mechanical, HVAC), Project Safety, Procurement, Project Controls, Software Design, Training, Records Management, Operations, and Information Technology.

  • Demonstrated work experience in an environment where safety is paramount to employee/company success.
  • Able to determine work priorities, meet deadlines and apply knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations.
  • In-depth experience with prime contract development, negotiation and administration.
  • Prior experience with prime contract REAs, change orders, claims, dispute resolution and legal interface.
  • Polished, professional demeanor with ability to communicate and present complex issues to management, clients, subcontractors and other third parties.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, gain consensus and organize team members to analyze prime contract-related issues, identify needs, recommend solutions and implement appropriate actions.
  • Act as a lead contributor in innovative problem solving, strategy development and process improvement.
  • Ability to present complex and controversial issues effectively, anticipate and handle objections, develop solutions, use skills of persuasion to seek understanding/agreement and influence others.
  • Anticipate internal and external business needs and develop, implement and manage plans and resources to achieve business and organizational objectives.
  • Provide in-depth expertise in own function and broad knowledge of other disciplines, coordinate work across multiple functions and provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to others.
  • Prior experience with EVMS systems and integrated project schedules as they relate to contract changes.
  • Prior experience working on prime contracts for construction of Government capital projects.
  • BS in Business Administration, Engineering or law required.
  • Typically has 10-20 years experience in administering prime contracts with the Federal Government in a Cost reimbursement area.
The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.
  • Advance training in contract law and contract changes on Government contracts.
  • MBA desirable.
