Job Description
This position reports to the Vice President – Compensation and Benefits and Director – Employee & Labor Relations, and will provide administrative support to the Compensation and Benefits teams and the Labor & Employee Relations team. The position will perform a wide variety of administrative services, which are diverse and may be sensitive or confidential in nature.

The duties require a broad knowledge of corporate functions, key personnel, etc.
Will work independently on assignments and as part of a team. Will be required to compose correspondence and reports, with experience in composing professional correspondence on behalf of the company, and will be required to create PowerPoint presentations and analyses using Microsoft Word, Excel and other software tools. Will assist in coordinating and assembling material and data for EOG, the Employee Benefits Committee and the Compensation Committee. Will screen incoming correspondence, phone calls and properly direct them. Responsible for mail distribution for the Compensation, Benefits and Labor Relations teams.

Will maintain tickler files and track work assignments to ensure timely completion. Will maintain the files as well as the calendars of the Vice President - Compensation and Benefits and the Director - Employee and Labor Relations, including scheduling meetings and conference calls; will also assist team members with the same, as required. Will maintain itineraries and schedules for critical deliverables. Will act as SAP time administrator for the group. Will perform additional administrative support as required.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• At least 8 years administrative experience, with a minimum of 3 years in direct support of a director or above.

Required Competencies:

• Demonstrated planning and organizational skills.
• Superior oral and written communication skills.
• The ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Proven proficiency in the use of SAP and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent keyboarding skills and the ability and willingness to learn new software programs.
• High degree of initiative, professionalism and self-motivation in identifying and accomplishing tasks.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Desirable:

• Secretarial Science Degree and/or college level secretarial courses.
