Job Description
This position may be required to work
rotating shift work with rotating days off at
Linden Generating Station. Provide leadership
and supervision in the start-up, shutdown,
operation, and maintenance of gas and oil
fired combustion turbine generators and
associated balance of plant equipment IAW
the OEM model. Ensure the safe,
environmentally compliant and profitable
operation of the facility. Major
responsibilities: Coordinate operation of the
generating units with ER&T. Coordinate
operation, maintenance and outages of the
generating equipment with other
departments to maintain unit availability.
Communicate with outside agencies, internal
and external customers. Provide leadership in
conduct of operation initiatives. Administer
the company/union agreement. Establish
high standards for associates; provide
leadership and motivation by training,
appraisals, coaching, counseling, rewarding
and disciplining associates. Promote and
facilitate internal and external departmental
quality behaviors to achieve Fossil Generation
mission. Maintain and apply working
knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business
Controls and meet management’s
expectations for effective business controls.

Requirements:
*Bachelors Degree in Engineering and 5 years
extensive power plant experience or High
School diploma and 8 years of extensive
power plant experience or equivalent
*Fossil Fuel Fired operations and
maintenance experience.
*Must obtain an acceptable score on the First
Line Supervisor’s test unless presently a first
line supervisor who has continuously
supervised maintenance or operating
personnel for a minimum of 12 months.

Desired:
*Proficiency in SAP
*Extensive experience with power plant
instrumentation and controls, RCA and
process improvements.
*Experience with safety and environmental
regulations and company/union workforce.
*Technical certification or training.
*Advance computer skills (Microsoft Office).
*Stationary Engineers License (Blue Seal).
