POSITION DESCRIPTION Training Advisor AREVA Resources Canada has an opportunity for a Training Advisor to join our team. In this position the successful candidate will support the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of training according to AREVA's Systematic Approach to Training. General responsibilities include: · Support the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of training according to the AREVA Systematic Approach to Training (SAT). · Prepare training materials such as course manuals, course outlines, background material and other training aids, handouts, completion certificates and course critique forms. · Support training activities of mill, surface and other site trainers. · Support the activities of the on-site Workplace Education Program. · Develops procedures, work instructions and forms for the Training Group. · Enter and manage training records on data base and filing system. · Coordinate and deliver site orientation and WHMIS training. · Prepare and deliver workshops on training principles and office software. · Procure training from external training providers. · Training and development of new training department staff. Qualifications for the position include: · Degree or Certificate in Adult Education or equivalent. · Five years experience working in an adult education environment. · A demonstrated knowledge of a systematic approach to training development and evaluation would be desired. · Working knowledge of office and program deliverable machines i.e., computer, fax, multi-media projectors etc. · Computer software product knowledge, such as, MS Office. · Strong, effective communication skills (oral/ written), with the ability to efficiently interact with the public and AREVA employees.
