General responsibilities include: · Align the Process Information and Process Control System functions, delivering value to the business through initiatives and applications that target safety, environmental quality, and cost and production business objectives. · Develop an overall, strategy and execution plan for Process Information and Process Control system improvements related to workflow/ dataflow of process data including integration to Business systems. · Lead the development of integrated manufacturing and business execution and reporting systems. · Facilitate tactical support to site by leading and coordinating site, corporate and contract Process Control and Manufacturing system resources. · Assume high level of ownership for the Process Data Systems and Control System, including developing vision, consolidating standards and administering vendor support contracts and services as required. · Work closely with maintenance leadership, instrument technicians, operations and metallurgy to improve control system utilization and effectiveness. · Provide support to IS as required to manage/ maintain site infrastructure. Qualifications for the position include: · Degree in Chemistry or a Technical Certification with a concentration in Instrumentation Control, Electrical/ Chemical Engineering and/or Computer programming/ Information Technology. · Exceptional Information Technology skills, including working knowledge of network architecture, configuration and software administration · Minimum 5 years experience in an industrial operation support or project role. · Strong organizational, project planning and execution skills are required. · Strong leadership skills without authority, the ability to engage resources at all levels of the organization. · Excellent communication skills, both written and oral to ensure clarity amongst a diverse stakeholder group are required. · Experience developing and conducting technical training sessions. · Experience in SQL database and data historian development/ management is essential. · Experience with SAP is considered an asset. Work Location & Schedule: McClean Lake 7 in / 7 out - 77 hours/week
