Job Description
Substation Construction has a need for a Truck Driver to work throughout the 54,000 square miles of SPS Service Territory, constructing and maintaining electrical substations, hauling materials and operating equipment for constructing and maintaining electrical transmission and distribution substations. Depending on successful applicant's qualifications, position will be filled at the 1st year through 4th year level.

Successful applicants will have the following:

High School Dipolma or GED.

Class A CDL License with Tanker and Double Triples endorsements.

Committed to safety quality of work and customer service.

5 years experience driving trucks, cranes, and heavy equipment. More than 5 years experience is a plus.

Willing to respond to after hour and weekend callouts.

Must able to travel extensively for extended periods of time.

Mentally competent, able to communicate and able to comprehend instructions and build on previous experience.

Exhibit a team work attitude and be able to work with others.

Must be of adequate physical stature to lift and maneuver up to 90 lbs, use shovels, sledge hammers and jack hammers and an assortment of hand tools.

Pass Federal DOT Physical Examination.
