Job description : Missions The role of the Manufacturing EHS Manager is to be a hands-on oversight for the company's environmental, occupational health and safety programs at the company manufacturing and outsourced/contracted manufacturing locations in India. This role actively provides EHS services to the manufacturing site(s), manufacturing director/managers and personnel, and evaluates and oversees all environmental and safety impacts and aspects with the primary goal of zero incidents, accidents and injuries. The mandatory requirement of this role is to ensure that at all times, all project personnel, subcontractors and AREVA employees follow safety procedures and comply with AREVA Solar Corporate EHS policies, standards and programs, applicable EHS management systems (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001) and Indian environmental and safety laws and regulations. Position reports on a day to day basis to the Project Director or Manufacturing Director and functionally to the AREVA Solar Senior EHS Director and is accountable to both. Specific duties will be to :
BE/ME/MS in environmental/civil/chemical engineering, or safety engineering degree with EHS experience in manufacturing conditions and situations (E.g. mechanical assembly, haz-materials, chemical and electro-mechanical systems, manual and automated assembly systems; industrial hygiene, industrial waste treatment systems, chemical handling and processes). You are able to grasp evolving EHS issues, regulations, standards and risks and have proven track record of effectively managing manufacturing safety in at least two major industries - Heavy equipment/machinery assembly, plating/coating, chemical process industries. You track safety indicators and metrics and manage internal databases, share websites to track project EHS documents, records, audit corrective action plans, program metrics, plans and procedures. You are able to conduct exposure monitoring, manual work safety analysis, safe hazmat storage and use, emergency preparation and evacuation, chemical safety. Exposure to OHSAS 18001/2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems a plus. You know safety sections of Factor Act and other Indian rules. You have at least 6 years of hand-on experience in industrial waste (Chemical) treatment and technologies and at least 8 years of direct hand-on EHS experience in major manufacturing (chemical process mechanical and equipmentand heavy industries). You have excellent experience and skill with MS Office software such as Excel and MS Word; motivation and training skills to ensure safe practices are followed. Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills in English and Hindi. Location: Rajasthan, India
