Position Summary The Manager-Nuclear Regulatory Affairs is responsible for managing the interfaces between the company, Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the principal Pennsylvania state regulatory agency directing the licensing aspects of SSES including updating the Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) and Technical Specifications, and coordinating the preparation and issuance of correspondence to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The Manager Regulatory Affairs is also responsible to provide oversight of the Emergency Planning group.

In addition to normal management functions, a key role of this position is to advise the management team of the impacts of their decisions on regulatory margin. This role is implemented through thoughtful analysis of information gathered through a proactive, highly communicative interface with various regulators, but primarily the NRC. Primary Responsibilities 1. Providing business advice to the PPL Susquehanna management team regarding the regulatory margin impacts of various decisions.

2. Maintaining key licensing documents up-to-date as required by regulations, documenting decisions regarding reportability of various conditions and events, and coordinating preparation and review of various types of regulatory correspondence.

3. Providing technical support to senior managers and other PPL Susquehanna, LLC functions in fulfilling PPL Susquehanna, LLC objectives and regulatory requirements related to maintaining and controlling the Susquehanna SES license.

4. Coordinating activities of the group through planning, budgeting and controlling of expenses.

5. Administering established policies and programs including those pertaining to safety counseling, productivity, goal setting and training.

6. Ensuring a competent, well-motivated and effectively utilized staff by managing its selection, organization, training, development, appraisal and compensation.

7. Functioning as the position lead for the Liaison Support Supervisor position in the Nuclear Emergency Response Organization. Candidate Qualifications Candidates must meet the basic qualifications to receive consideration. Basic Qualifications 1. BS in Engineering or related field.

2. Ten (10) years related experience, including a minimum of five (5) years nuclear-related experience and responsible supervisory positions. Preferred Qualifications 1. Current or prior nuclear regulatory experience.
