Position Summary The Foreman-Effluents Management Services provides direction and oversight for crew work and work review and enforces Nuclear Department goals with the crew, making sure workers are adhering to station programs, work related procedures, work plans, and plant standards. Primary Responsibilities 1. Plans, directs, and controls the activities of assigned Effluents Management personnel to ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station in compliance with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and other regulatory agency requirements. 2. Directs, supervises and schedules personnel for 24/7 coverage for fire watch and fire brigade duties. 3. Directs and supervises work being performed in the plant, labs and shops by Effluents personnel. Radwaste Operations support will consist of briefings to Operations of wet waste inventory, stocking of resins, wet waste transfers and ownership of wet waste processing technology and procedures. 4. Ensure that all decontamination, waste handling, spill response, Health Physics support and Radwaste Operations support activities are performed safely, correctly and efficiently. Provide oversight of the Hazardous Wasteyard Operations and Maintenance. 5. Provides contractor oversight where necessary for activities regarding grounds, facilities or effluents management. 6. Responsible for implementation of station safety programs, ensures subordinates understand and properly follow work procedures that are established for their safety, enforces wearing of personal protective equipment, ensures that safety meetings are conducted and conducts periodic safety inspections. Candidate Qualifications Candidates must meet the basic qualifications to receive consideration. Basic Qualifications 1. High school diploma or GED. 2. Knowledge of Effluents, Firewatch, and Facilities duties. 3. Incumbent will be required to pass and certify as an active fire brigade member. Preferred Qualifications 1. 1 year of supervisory experience. 2. CDL preferred. 3. Leadership and communications skills. 4. Good planning and other administrative skills. 5. Experience with union relations and proven high standards and awareness of safety rules and nuclear safety culture.
