Position Summary This position primarily provides senior-level sales and marketing support to PPL’s retail power marketing business. This shall include but not be limited to sales process coordination, customer relationship management, competitive intelligence, competitor analysis, marketing and marketing event planning, market research and analysis, and other functions as determined by the business unit. Primary Responsibilities 1. Support the sales process as related to acquiring new customers in the retail markets. Such support shall be related to Customer Relationship Management (“CRM”), request for proposals, communications and other support activities as needed to manage the business and customer expectations. 2. Primarily support the Sales and Sales Support Managers within the Marketing organization as well as retail sales staff and other team members by coordinating all administrative aspects of customer acquisition including credit approvals, proposal generation and customer database management. Maintain a list of activities, issues, and upcoming bid deadlines. Prepare Sales and Marketing Activity Reports and other reports in the CRM tool. 3. Support development of new business opportunities by contributing to the acquisition of leads via market intelligence, channel partnerships, and energy partner relationships. 4. Participate in the development and deployment of marketing business plans and sales strategies for assigned market areas based on market intelligence and related research. 5. Coordinate market research and analysis, acquire and analyze competitive intelligence information and assist in incorporating into marketing business plans and sales strategies. 6. Participate in special projects to improve operations, increase customer satisfaction and retention rates, and contribute to profitability. Candidate Qualifications Candidates must meet the basic qualifications to receive consideration. Basic Qualifications 1. BS in Business Administration, Marketing or related degree OR at least five years of industry experience. 2. Experience in an area of marketing, business sales or sales planning. 3. Experience in an area of direct customer contact, customer relationship management or related policies, procedures and processes. 4. Basic understanding of the wholesale or retail energy markets as it is related to marketing and sales. 5. Oral and written communication skills to communicate and achieve objectives. 6. Analytical skills allowing for the management of strategies related to customer segments and business activities. 7. Management skills to coordinate processes effectively and efficiently across the organization. Preferred Qualifications 1. Three years experience in EnergyPlus or related energy business. 2. Strong team and interpersonal skills to listen to feedback, identify solutions and build consensus. 3. Strong client-service orientation, ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization.
