Position Summary The primary job purpose of this position is to lead the marketing efforts related to the PPL EnergyPlus retail energy business’ development and implementation of affinity marketing and partnership programs designed to add gross margin by driving sales through these programs. This position will work in collaboration with the Retail Electric management team. This shall include but not be limited to marketing tactics creation and execution, channel relationship management, competitive intelligence, competitor analysis, marketing and marketing event planning, market research and analysis, monitoring campaign/program results, and other functions as determined by the business unit. Primary Responsibilities 1. Develops and manages marketing plans for the affinity/partnership programs for both the mass market and C&I business segments.
2. Tracks marketing plan results and adjust strategies accordingly.
3. Develops strategies for the affinity/partnership programs in conjunction with the Retail Electric management team.
4. Leads and executes market research to focus product offerings, price points and to determine success of opportunities for customer acquisition/retention.
5. Maintains market intelligence information on competitors (market segments, offers) and electric utilities (offers, terms, and default rates).
6. Develops and maintains effective business reporting for the programs to support business decisions. Candidate Qualifications Candidates must meet the basic qualifications to receive consideration. Basic Qualifications 1. BS in Business or a related degree or at least five (5) years of experience in the retail energy business.
2. Experience developing and managing affinity/partnership programs or a mass market product line, market segment or related activity.
3. Experience in an area of direct customer contact, customer relationship management, channel partner management or related policies, procedures and processes.
4. Experience conducting market research.
5. Understanding of the retail energy markets as related to marketing and sales. Preferred Qualifications 1. 5 years of experience developing and managing affinity marketing and partnership programs.
2. Oral and written communication skills to communicate and achieve objectives.
3. Strong client-service orientation, ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization.
4. Team and people skills to listen to feedback, identify solutions and build consensus.
5. Analytical skills allowing for the management of strategies related to customer segments and business activities.
6. Management skills to coordinate processes effectively and efficiently across the organization.
