Position Summary Plans, coordinates and manages activities associated with the development and implementation of Maintenance and Technical training programs commensurate with assigned duties for specific departmental disciplines. Primary Responsibilities 1. Providing direction for and supervision of the planning and execution of the analysis, design development, implementation and evaluation of performance-based training programs in accordance with prescribed departmental procedures, policies and applicable regulations and requirements. 2. Develops long-range training needs in the assigned functional areas and develops strategies and plans to meet those needs. 3. Participates in NRC, INPO and management audits/assessments and provides responses to audit findings. 4. Coordinates the assignment of training activities between plant management, outside agencies, contractors and the training departments. 5. Support station in the areas of project management, refuel outages support and business initiatives. 6. Assures that training facilities, equipment, materials, records and personnel qualifications support training program goals. 7. Evaluates the need for outside services, coordinates the drafting of bid specifications, evaluates proposals, recommends qualified vendors and manages the purchased programs and services. 8. Reviews approved trainee evaluation reports and consulting activities and takes appropriate actions. 9. Manages the Nuclear Maintenance and Technical Training Instructors in the various maintenance and technical training areas for Susquehanna Steam and Electric Station. Candidate Qualifications Candidates must meet the basic qualifications to receive consideration. Basic Qualifications 1. BS Degree in Engineering/Science discipline with emphasis in related field or BA in Education / Training or Management. Or a combination of education and experience of at least 10 years of maintenance or technical experience. 2. Knowledge of BWR systems, programs and processes. 3. Experience in training needs analysis. 4. 5 years of supervisory experience.
