Job Description
The Emergency Services Facilities & Equipment Specialist has the lead for maintenance of effective Emergency Preparedness and Nuclear Security equipment, internal and external to PSEG Nuclear. The responsibilities includes maintenance of all Emergency Response Facilities (e.g., Emergency Operations Facility, Technical Support Centers, Operations Support Centers, and Joint Information Center / Emergency News Center) and equipment necessary to support all aspects of the nuclear emergency response plan, including ERO call-out system and on-site and off-site notification systems (sirens). It also includes maintenance of all Security intrusion detection and early warning systems, the Security Central Alarm Station and Secondary Alarm Station, and all facilities and equipment necessary to support Nuclear Security Operations. Will be responsible to maintain current operational status of all ES equipment and implement performance indicators to be used by ES to manage equipment reliability. This person will assist the station and central maintenance organizations with prioritization of maintenance activities based on known risks (especially safety), regulatory requirements, the need for compensatory measures, etc. They will coordinate with the Engineering and Maintenance peer groups to implement equipment reliability improvements for Emergency Services equipment, and they will participate in site processes to ensure appropriate representation of facility and equipment issues. The Emergency Services F&E Specialist will provide oversight to the Security Systems Engineer and the SMART team for the Security Department. This position will support station outages and be available to support ERO positions.

Required: Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience required. Must have demonstrated leadership, project management, and organizational coordination skills. Basic knowledge of plant requirements and processes required, with demonstrated ability to coordinate across all levels of the organization (from upper level management to craft workers), internally and externally. Experience in equipment reliability and maintenance a strong plus. Must meet PSEG Nuclear’s requirements for unescorted access.
