This position will be responsible for understanding and facilitating excellence in all aspects of day-to-day shift operations for the Nuclear Security department. This specialist will implement and maintain operational performance indicators to understand operational performance gaps, will benchmark other departments and peers to understand best practices and facilitate implementation of operational best practices at PSEG. The Security Operations Specialist will also ensure that Security shift staffing and posts are implemented to comply with regulatory requirements and the PSEG Nuclear Security Plan and that station support requirements are met. They will recommend changes in operations, post orders, training and other processes to close gaps to operational excellence. This position will be considered the succession path to Security Operations Manager. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or combination of Associates Degree and 15 years related experience. Must meet PSEG Nuclear’s requirements for unescorted access. Requires demonstrated leadership ability, including at least 10 years in the military, law enforcement or nuclear security or operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory position. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills and strong organizational development skills required. Requirements: BA/BS Degree in related field or equivalent education / work experience. Three years accounting, finance, budgeting and / or cost analysis / control experience. Three years nuclear power experience (Operations, Maintenance, Engineering or A/E) or equivalent experience. Must meet and maintain Nuclear’s requirements for unescorted site access. Demonstrated proficiency in P3 and/or other programs associated with project management. Desired: Knowledge of budget/finance processes. Knowledge and experience with CAP (Corrective Action Program). SAP experience preferred.
