Summary
We are looking for a diligent and hard-working Apprentice Lineman Any Level or Journeyman to join the Xcel Energy team in Perryton, Texas area! For those individuals who enjoy working outside and ready to further their skills as a lineman then this is an opportunity for you to join a great company with great benefits. You will support maintenance and emergency repairs of distribution and transmission lines. The ideal lineman or journeyman candidate for this position must be self-motivated, work well with others, and possess a positive attitude and commitment to work safely, provide quality customer service, create customer satisfaction and must work productively. Higher level apprentices may be considered for this position.
The successful candidate must live within 30 minutes of the Perryton Service Center.
Required
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must pass the Federal D.O.T. Physical Exam.
  • Must have a valid Class A CDL Driver's License permit or must be able to obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • Must be of adequate physical stature to:
  • Lift and maneuver up to 90 lbs.
  • Climb wood poles up 100' tall and work in an efficient manner
  • Use shovels, sledge hammers and 90 lb. jack hammers
  • Must be mentally competent, able to communicate, able to comprehend instructions and build on previous experience.
  • The class of work preformed at all levels of apprenticeship shall depend upon the skill and knowledge of the apprentice.
