Job Description

We are currently in need of a Pipeline Corrosion Engineer in our Pipeline Services Group located in Denver, CO.  Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. (SI) is an internationally recognized leader in prevention and control of structural and mechanical failures.  The position will lead specialized integrity management inspections at nuclear power plants
and other oil/gas facilities.  Our niche is in providing inspection and corrosion control solutions for difficult to access conditions, not routine above ground surveys.

 

Qualified
candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Gas Transmission and Distribution, Oil and Gas or the Nuclear Power industry with a focus in pipeline integrity and pipeline assessment methodology. Preferable experience would include petroleum and/or power industry work familiarity.  Candidate must be a self-starter who can operate with minimal supervision.  This position will introduce the engineer to cutting edge buried asset management approaches, as well as related software and development.  Mastery of the software will include customization of risk ranking parameters based on unique challenges to direct the client’s industry driven inspection plans.  This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic environment where your engineering skills can be fully utilized, while also providing the opportunity of accelerated development and enhancement of skills through continuous interaction with the product team and clients throughout all phases of a project.  

 

This engineering role and position will become a significant contributor in SI’s Managing Aging Piping (MAP) program as well as be provided with the opportunity to contribute
their experience across many other types of engineering consulting engagements/projects that the company is involved in. 30% travel required.  Candidates must have excellent  written and verbal communication skills in English; authorization to work in the US.  The
position is located in Denver, CO. Relocation is provided.

 

Additional
Experience and Requirements: 

  • B.S. Degree in an Engineering
    discipline
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft
    Excel, Access, Word, and some basic skills in SQL or VBA preferred
  • Must be willing to work periodically
    within a nuclear power plant setting when performing work or interacting with
    clients while on-site
  • Ability to read, interpret, and
    understand plant/facility drawings 
  • Demonstrated high quality of work in
    both QA and QC protocols
  • Detail oriented, team player,
    willingness to learn, and a positive attitude
