Job Description:
AREVA is seeking an Intern, Marketing & Customer Relations, Sustainable Development for Bethesda, MD location.
Primary responsibilities include the following:
  • Assist Sustainable Development department with the implementation of 2012 strategic objectives
  • Other research and analysis/projects as assigned
Typical Projects this group may work on include:
  • Analysis of AREVA customer sustainability and supplier diversity programs
  • Develop forecast model regarding evolution of utility supply chain sustainability and supplier diversity requirements based on customer and market research
  • Support AREVA proposal teams regarding sustainable development and supplier diversity
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Internal and external marketing and communication of corporate sustainable development programs and initiatives
Qualifications:
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this internship opportunity.
  • Minimum BS or BA degree, working towards or recently completed an MBA or comparable Master's Program.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience working on corporate strategy, marketing, sustainability reporting, stakeholder engagement, communications.
  • Marketing and market research expertise.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting concepts, trends, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.
  • Available to start work by June 2012.

  • Self-starter who works proactively and is able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to completion.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Experience in the energy/electric utility industry.
  • Energy/Environmental/Sustainability consulting experience.
