This position's primary focus is protection of company assets by providing and conducting a variety of functions and services. The position: Manages software vendor relationships after conducting software and hardware evaluations, preparing business requirements, conducting proofs of concept and software pilots, and managing the implementation and use of software. Supports computer and information-related business compliance (BC) investigations and works with involved internal constituents to resolve controls deficiencies. Provides concise, factual, and non-subjective investigation reporting to management. Provides computer forensics, litigation and regulatory support, including expert testimony. Collects, analyzes, and preserves electronic evidence. Maintains a state of the art computer forensics lab. Monitors the company’s electronic networks; then, investigates and responds to security events triggered by software controls. Integrates security into new applications and products. Develops and monitors information security practices and instructions so to assure the company has best available (benchmarked) security practices. Assures compliance with cyber security legal and regulatory mandates. Forges key alliances with Information Technology and other internal departments. Forges alliances with an array of outside resources, including law enforcement, homeland security, industry SMEs, industry associations, and consultants and vendors. Provides on call support on a rotational, and on an as-needed basis. Basic Qualifications: •Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, or related area. •Ten years in security, investigations, computer forensics, and technical computer support, litigation support, and/or auditing. •At least two years in computer forensics. Experience with Guidance Software’s Encase Forensics software. (Note: As part of the investigative process, the employee may be exposed to offensive materials.) •EnCase® Certified Examiner (EnCE)® certification. •Experience with Symantec Clearwell's E-Discovery software •Off hours support and duties required on a rotating basis. •Valid Driver’s license and willingness to drive or travel typically up to 25% of the time. •Extensive background check, including credit and reference verification – on a continuum. •Candidate must foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversity. •Successful candidate must demonstrate and value differences in others' strengths, perspectives, approaches, and personal choices Required Competencies: •Knowledge and continuing awareness of information security issues for specific environments such as LAN, Internet, wireless, client server, email, telecommunications, etc. •Project planning and organizing ability, initiative, leadership, teamwork, results oriented, and exceptional oral and written communication skills. •Ability to analyze and communicate technical information in a manner that is both technically accurate for administrators and generally understandable to the audience. •Knowledge of domestic and international laws and regulatory requirements, pertinent to PSEG’s operations. Desired Qualifications: •Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, or related area. •Ten to 15 years in security, investigations, computer forensics, technical computer support, litigation support, and/or auditing; and of which at least four years are in computer forensics. •Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Information Security Manager, SANS GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) certification), Foreign language capabilities. •Clearwell System E-Discovery Administrator Certification | |
